FAQ

Is Gurgaon safe at night for women expats?

Direct answer

Inside gated societies on Golf Course Extension Road, yes. The four societies we manage — IREO, M3M, Emaar, Conscient — have 24-hour armed guards, biometric entry, and CCTV, and female residents describe nighttime inside the compound as genuinely safe. Outside the compound after dark, use Uber or Ola (never auto-rickshaws at night) and share your trip with a contact. Avoid Old Gurgaon bazaar areas and unlit highway stretches.

Inside the gated compound, nighttime safety is good. The boom barrier, visitor ID registration, and on-duty guards create a controlled access environment that is meaningfully different from a typical apartment building. Female residents across our four societies have not reported safety incidents inside the compounds in the time we have been managing properties here.

Outside the compound after dark, the practical rule is Uber or Ola — not auto-rickshaws. The app tracks the route, logs the driver's identity, and lets you share live location with a contact in one tap. If you are arriving late from an airport or station, pre-book the Uber before exiting the terminal. Never accept a verbal price from a driver outside the app.

The GCER and GCR corridors (Sectors 53–68) have 24-hour food delivery from Swiggy, Zomato, and Blinkit, so most evening needs can be met without leaving the society. Areas to avoid after 10pm: Old Gurgaon bazaar area (Sectors 10–15), Sector 23 industrial belt, and highway-facing stretches without lighting. The DLF Cyber Hub area and MG Road are fine late at night — well-lit, staffed, and restaurant-heavy. Save 112 (India's unified emergency number) and keep your society address and nearest landmark in a pinned note on your phone.
